What you’ll do

As a Summer Student in Workplace Operations, you will provide support to the Workplace team in various operational and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient working environment. You will gain hands-on experience in facilities management, office coordination, and workplace logistics.

• Assist with office setup and space management, including coordination of staff moves
• Support with office supply inventory management and ordering of supplies
• Help coordinate office maintenance requests (cleaning, repairs etc.), work with vendors, and track progress
• Collaborate with the Workplace team to ensure workplace safety protocols are followed
• Respond to general office inquiries and assist staff with workplace-related requests
• Regularly update and manage the office space database to reflect changes in office layouts and occupancy details

Who you are

• Available to begin work on or around May 5th, 2025
• Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship for this role will not be provided
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiar with office environments and operations

Education 

• Must be enrolled in a Facilities Management, Interior Design, or Business Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
• Candidates currently enrolled in either a master’s or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities

Working Conditions

• May include sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, etc. 

Relocation

• Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses
