Position Summary
Experience providing general clerical and customer or student intake support and performing general data entry duties. Knowledge of standard office principles and procedures.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The ability to identify issues and solve routine problems or seek assistance when applicable.

Demonstrated ability to work and prepare confidential information with discretion.

Ability to efficiently set up student appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Experience answering phone calls and listening effectively to relay information through oral or written communication.

Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills both orally and written, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population Dallas College population.

Understands and adheres to all district policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
High school graduate or GED equivalency and one (1) year of work-related experience.
Bilingual preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with all individuals within and outside the organization to meet organizational goals.

Skill in dealing effectively with staff at all levels within Dallas College and the community.

Basic personal computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software applications.

Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet established guidelines.

Attention to detail.

Provides clerical and student intake support to the organization that includes but is not limited to front desk duties, triaging.

Assist students with navigating our student information system and other related technology.
-
Supports the work of the department, daily operations and provides front facing duties.

Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with all students, staff and administrators.

Remains knowledgeable and current by attending professional development courses and software training classes as directed by the organization.

Assists others in meeting deadlines for various tasks and projects as required such as call campaigns and other related initiatives.

Supports assigned administrator and department staff for the purpose of providing assistance with clerical functions.

Completes required Dallas College annual compliance training.

Performs other duties as assigned.
