ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determination of project design criteria, procedures and processes including system selection.
- Independently perform engineering design and analysis for identified systems including responsible charge of projects.
- Organize project related meetings to coordinate activities, communicate designs and assign tasks to technical and non-technical staff.
- Mentoring and training of junior staff including review of engineering design, analysis and deliverables.
- Develops and reviews engineering deliverables including models, drawings, specifications, and other project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Receives supervision and guidance on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and group initiatives.
- Participation in the permitting / regulatory review process.
- Perform field surveys, condition assessments and site investigations.
- Perform construction administration related tasks including submittal review, responding to RFI’s and observation of construction related activities.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from accredited engineering program required. Master of Science (MS) degree from accredited engineering program a plus.
- 4 to 10 years of related engineering experience.
- CAD/BIM expertise and engineering analysis software expertise required.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Technical certifications as applicable.
- Working knowledge of local codes and technical standards.
- Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external clients.
- Responsible for personal and project task management including meeting scope, budget and schedule.
