Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Strategy and Planning team at Marsh Belgium This role will be based in Brussels. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Strategy Manager for Marsh McLennan BeLux, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives within our organization. You will work closely with the BeLux leadership team and the European Strategy team to analyse market trends, evaluate business performance, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Your insights and recommendations will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business.
Successful applicants typically have enough experience to ask the right questions, frame hypotheses and initiate research to find the answers. As a Strategy Manager, you will support in shaping the solutions and answers for untapped opportunities or challenges. You should have experience in managing projects with tight deadlines, excel within a team environment, and establish and maintain strong business relationships.
We will count on you to:

Strategic planning: Gather and analyse data from various sources to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices. Use this information to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Perform financial analysis: Collaborate with project teams to gather the necessary data to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.

Assist in strategic planning: Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and refine strategic plans and initiatives. Contribute to the formulation of goals, objectives, and action plans for the operating committee to implement.

Monitor and evaluate performance: Track and measure the progress of strategic initiatives. Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to assess the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for adjustment.

Prepare reports and presentations: Summarize findings and recommendations in clear and concise reports and presentations. Present findings to senior management and regional and country stakeholders.

Support strategic projects: Assist in the execution of strategic projects, including conducting research, coordinating project activities, and monitoring project timelines and deliverables.

Stay updated on industry trends and bring in a consultative mindset: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging products and technologies, and competitive landscape to identify and advice teams on potential opportunities and threats.
What you need to have:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of strategic frameworks and methodologies is desirable.
