Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Strategy Manager to lead and enhance the strategic and operational activities of our Container Terminal. In this critical role, you will oversee the planning and execution of operational cycles, ensuring the terminal operates efficiently while maintaining a competitive edge in the industry. As part of the leadership team, you will balance short-term operational needs with long-term strategic objectives, driving innovation, improving performance, and championing safety throughout terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and oversee the terminal’s operational strategy to ensure efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. Align operational goals with the long-term strategic vision of the terminal.
  • Operational Efficiency: Lead efforts to identify, monitor, and implement improvements in operational processes across the control room and terminal operations. Ensure all activities are aligned with the company’s performance targets.
  • Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for coordination and communication between the terminal operations team and the Senior Planning Committee (SPC). Facilitate alignment and collaboration between teams.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance, ensuring targets are met and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Innovation & Technology: Drive the adoption of new technologies and innovative practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity. Lead initiatives to incorporate technological advancements that contribute to the terminal’s long-term success.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on safety within all operational processes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a culture of safety across the terminal.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team within the control room, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with the terminal COO to align strategic goals with operational practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management within a container terminal or logistics environment.
  • Strong experience in strategic planning and execution, with a proven track record of improving operational performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, with strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and KPIs relevant to terminal operations.
  • Knowledge of the latest innovations in container terminal technologies and best practices.
  • Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to balance operational urgency with long-term strategic goals.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
