Strategy and Business Development Lead

What does a successful Strategy & Business Development Lead do? 

The Strategy & Business Development Lead plays an essential role in driving client success and improving overall client experience. You will work to align business strategy with the needs and goals of our clients, ensuring operational excellence and measurable financial outcomes. Your key focus will be on enhancing client satisfaction through identifying and executing a variety of cross-functional initiatives based on opportunity areas, including optimizing and scaling the approach to various client interaction points. The Strategy & Business Development Lead must have their finger on the pulse of the industry and the business as they will be a key driver of business strategy and direction.

What you will do:

  • Lead initiatives to optimize client communications, satisfaction, and engagement through events, feedback, and continuous process improvements.
  • Provide strategic oversight and ensure the ROI of major programs, including large conversions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support major sales initiatives, including the creation of impactful sales enablement tools and resources.
  • Develop and deliver recurring market insights materials to inform business strategies and support client-facing engagements with actionable data.
  • Strengthen and enhance the connection between U.S. and global business operations through close collaboration and alignment efforts.
  • Own and coordinate internal management reporting, including Management Business Reviews and other ad-hoc executive reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc special projects and programs that contribute to financial performance and likelihood to recommend (LTR) (e.g., product commercialization and collateral streamlining).
  • Contribute to and support select digital transformation-related initiatives to drive organizational change and manage client expectations and experience

What you will need to have:

  • 4+ years of experience in driving strategic and operational business initiatives
  • 4+ years of program management experience, coordinating across multiple cross-functional stakeholders
  • 2+ years of strong storyboarding and presentation creation and delivery experience at operational and executive levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or a minimum of 6 years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

  • A Master's in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience in evaluating business opportunities and developing business cases
  • Proficient in optimizing operational processes and management reporting practices
  • Experience in collaborating with business operations to ensure alignment

Salary Range

$124,300.00 - $213,100.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
