As a Strategic People (HR) Partner at Gurobi Optimization, you will be pivotal in driving organizational success through strategic People (HR) initiatives. You will develop and nurture long-term partnerships across the organization. Collaborating closely with department leaders, you will identify talent needs and ensure capabilities are in place to support organizational objectives.
Overseeing the entire Employee Lifecycle and managing key People (HR) functions, supported by a dedicated People team. Your responsibilities will include leading comprehensive onboarding processes, maintaining HRIS databases, and staying abreast of legal requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Additionally, you will spearhead change management initiatives, guiding teams through organizational transitions and focusing on seamless adaptation and operational continuity. Your role will also involve supporting organization design efforts, optimizing team structures, and facilitating effective program awareness to maximize the impact of People (HR) programs, policies, and tools across teams.
You will partner with other “centers of excellence” within the People team to leverage specialized expertise and ensure integrated support for all People (HR) initiatives.
What will you be doing?
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships across the organization to achieve business goals, projects, and priorities.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify talent, strategic resourcing, and capability requirements aligned with organizational needs.
- Oversee all people activities throughout the Employee Lifecycle, supported by the People team.
- Lead and manage onboarding processes:
- Execute and file employment agreements.
- Conduct reference and background checks, set up files, and verify information.
- Coordinate onboarding schedules and conduct new hire orientation.
- Set up and maintain People (HR) systems.
- Manage offboarding processes.
- Maintain and update the HRIS database for system updates, employee changes, and reporting.
- Stay informed about legal requirements related to employee management.
- Investigate employee relations concerns, communicate findings, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support performance management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Drive change management initiatives, guiding teams through organizational changes to ensure smooth transitions and adaptability within the business.
- Support organization design efforts, assisting in structuring teams and roles and managing structural changes within the organization.
- Ensure program awareness across teams, effectively leveraging people programs, policies, and tools to support their goals.
- Enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work culture, aligning employee efforts with company values and objectives.
- Lead learning and development initiatives, promoting continuous learning and professional growth to support employees’ skill development and career progression.
What experience and qualifications should you have?
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of People (HR) generalist experience or business partner experience.
- Understanding of employment laws and compliance within your region.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written communication.
- Knowledge of People (HR) policies and procedures with the ability to provide clear, supportive guidance.
- Experience working within a SaaS business model.

What other requirements should you have?
- HR Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paycor).
- Proficiency in MS Office – Outlook Calendar/SharePoint/Excel.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to employee management.
