Deputy is a global SaaS remote-first workforce management company with hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, San Francisco and London, plus team members working remotely across the United States. Our platform serves over 1.5 million workers and 375,000 workplaces across 100+ countries. We are backed by top global investors and recently achieved Unicorn status.

At Deputy, we’re improving the world of work, one shift at a time, for 80% of the world’s workforce: hourly workers. These are the dedicated employees who keep our world running – from baristas to nurses, cleaners to delivery drivers, florists to factory workers. When businesses use Deputy, their workplaces thrive – the business is more profitable, compliant, and productive, while the workers are more engaged and happier at work.

If you’re passionate about creating solutions that put people first and helping businesses and their teams thrive, join us at Deputy and make an impact where it matters most!

The Role

We’re looking for a highly strategic and execution-oriented Lead Product Partnerships Manager to help scale our most important product partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product, go-to-market, and partner relationships—and knows how to translate strategy into results.

You will drive forward the partnerships that power key elements of Deputy’s product offering—whether we’ve built them, bought them, or partnered to integrate them. Your work will directly impact customer value, product roadmap, and revenue outcomes. As a senior member of the team, you’ll set the standard for cross-functional excellence, external stakeholder management, and partnership-led growth.

Responsibilities

  • Product Partnership Ownership
  • Implement and operationalize a build / buy / partner framework to evaluate and launch new product capabilities
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to influence the product roadmap based on partner capabilities and market needs
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and CS to develop and scale resell motions for partner-powered features
  • Drive joint value propositions, pricing strategy, internal enablement, and go-to-market alignment

  • Partner Management & Governance
  • Own executive relationships with strategic product partners—building trust and aligning on shared success
  • Run Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), monthly check-ins, and executive syncs to ensure accountability and momentum
  • Manage complex escalations and issue resolution with empathy, urgency, and clear communication
  • Stay on top of joint KPIs, customer adoption, roadmap blockers, and co-marketing opportunities

  • Cross-Functional Execution
  • Lead high-quality execution across multiple stakeholders and functions—internally and externally
  • Set clear roles, deliverables, and timelines across product, legal, ops, and partner teams
  • Track risks, unblock issues, and ensure alignment on scope and success metrics

  • Strategic Thinking
  • Be the internal expert on your partners’ businesses, strategies, and capabilities—and help Deputy capitalize on them
  • Identify new whitespace opportunities within our product or customer base that can be accelerated via partnership
  • Help shape our broader Product Partnerships strategy with insight, rigor, and clarity

  • Communication & Influence
  • Build trust and credibility with senior leaders at Deputy and our partner organizations
  • Translate complex technical or strategic concepts into clear narratives for internal and external audiences
  • Influence decision-making without direct authority by driving toward shared goals and mutually beneficial outcomes

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product partnerships, strategic alliances, or business development at a SaaS or technology company
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling resellable product partnerships, ideally in B2B or platform software environments
  • Deep understanding of build / buy / partner decision frameworks and how to apply them across varying product maturity stages
  • Experience working with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Legal teams to drive cross-functional alignment and outcomes
  • Demonstrated success managing executive-level relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial instincts with an ability to structure complex problems, prioritize trade-offs, and define success metrics
  • Comfort with contracts and commercial terms; able to collaborate closely with legal and finance as needed
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives for executives
  • Able to influence without authority and build consensus across cross-functional teams
  • Low-ego, high-ownership mentality; thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys building from scratch
  • Customer- and outcome-oriented, with a bias for action and continuous improvement
  • A true team player—collaborative, resourceful, and energized by helping others succeed

The on target earnings range for this role is $174,180 - 204,600 and includes base pay and target variable pay (subject to the percentage attainment of specific sales goals). The compensation for this position takes into account multiple factors that are all considered to determine an individual candidate’s annual pay. These factors include but are not limited to: market factors, experience, technical and non-technical skills, education, certifications, and other business acumen.
