About the Role:
Cloudflare is seeking a highly experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead some of our most important initiatives and partnerships. This role will be pivotal in driving product growth, fostering executive-level relationships, and developing a comprehensive strategy to grow our strategic partnerships. You would be joining an elite team in the Special Projects division of Cloudflare and lead some of our privacy initiatives and emerging products. Having a passion for consumer privacy and an understanding of privacy preserving technologies, content classification, artificial intelligence and the mechanics of online advertising is imperative for success in this unique role. The candidate must have technical experience with buyers and sellers of online systems that preserve consumer privacy across various transactions. This will be a high visibility role developing partnerships and product strategy across the entirety of Cloudflare's existing and emerging product portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a privacy strategy for Cloudflare
  • Ideate, discover and propose new product partnership opportunities leveraging Cloudflare's privacy infrastructure and products to expand market share, increase developer adoption, and grow direct revenue
  • Manage all aspects of partner integrations and proposals, including design, validation, implementation, troubleshooting and educating internal stakeholders (Product, ENG & GTM)
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering & GTM leaders to design and pitch strategic opportunities with customers.
  • Help develop and support new initiatives and strategic partners with our product and engineering teams
  • Measure and track the success of privacy initiatives through metrics such as user engagement, customer satisfaction, and revenue
  • Generate awareness about Cloudflare's strategic partnerships internally and externally
  • Develop, negotiate, and close agreements with new and existing partners
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of partnership initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience, in, or a combination of product management, partnerships, or related technical fields
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field, or specific technical experience preferred.
  • Experience in the Cloud (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), Security (DDoS, firewalls) or similar technology preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large, complex accounts and driving executive-level engagements.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute comprehensive account strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders at every level.
  • An ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset that enables you to work independently with little guidance, but also work collaboratively across the org.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working cross-functionally with a variety of teams, including product, Engineering, sales, and marketing teams, to establish effective partnerships.
  • A natural curiosity and eagerness to do whatever it takes, no task is beneath you, is a must. We are a scrappy team that works hard to accomplish ideas that others say can't be done.


Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Colorado, Illinois, Maryland and Minnesota based hires: Estimated annual salary of $186,000 - $228,000.
  • For New York City, Washington, Washington D.C. and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $209,000 - $255,000.
  • For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $220,000 - $268,000.


[Commissions: If applicable include this line:] This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare's Sales Compensation Plan. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan.
