We are seeking a dynamic Program Manager to support the Personal Investor CMO and the Personal Investor Marketing Leadership Team. This role is instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, playing a key role on the Personal Investor Marketing leadership team, developing our business planning cycle, and deploying a thoughtful communication strategy for the subdivision.  As a strategic thought partner, you will provide insightful analysis and recommendations, transforming complex information into actionable insights. You will develop and implement a team operating rhythm, coordinate cross-functional teams, and facilitate strategic planning sessions to ensure seamless execution of high-visibility initiatives.

You will also manage communications from the CMO to the marketing organization and the broader Vanguard community, preparing clear and compelling communications and presentations. Establishing and maintaining governance structures, you will facilitate effective decision-making processes. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong analytical skills, and influence multiple stakeholders is crucial. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain visibility into a senior leadership team, develop deeper marketing acumen, and play a vital role in shaping Personal Investor Marketing’s path forward.

This role:

  • Manages projects or multiple workstreams within a broader project or program. Develops, implements, and monitors project plans. Contributes expertise to major project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.

  • Provides insight on best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to ensure projects are aligned with the overall company strategy and market conditions.

  • Communicates project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers.

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships. Proactively fosters communication between internal and external project stakeholders. Influences key decisions across stakeholder groups.

  • Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks and any related project issues. Communicates solutions on key issues or projects to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services and function-specific experience preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong decision making and judgement.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
