Join Cogeco as our Strategic Content Lead Advisor, Communications, to help shape and amplify our internal voice so that it resonates across our teams in Canada and the Unites States.
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, you will be instrumental in supporting a variety of organizational initiatives, with a strong focus on change communications, organizational development, and other core business areas. You will execute communication strategies with excellence while maintaining a clear, human-focused narrative, driving our message with clarity, creativity, and impact.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
In this position, you will help:

Develop and Execute Communication Strategies: Create and implement organizational communication strategies that align with key projects and business initiatives, focusing on change management and organizational development programs, and stories that bring to life our culture and our vision.

Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with both the Internal and External Communications teams, as well as other cross-functional teams and stakeholders, to drive cohesive and impactful communication efforts.

Support Strategic Execution: Contribute to the execution of Cogeco’s internal and external communication strategy, aimed at building trust and enhancing the company’s reputation across North America. This includes crafting clear, engaging content (articles, newsletters, and communications) that communicates key messages while reinforcing trust and the brand’s image.

Drive Results with Data, and Innovate: Leverage data and insights to elevate communications, ensuring they resonate effectively with our target audiences. Evaluate and optimize communication elements for maximum influence and effectiveness. Monitor and analyze communication outcomes to recommend improvements, fostering continuous innovation in our communication approach.

Provide Guidance: Offer strategic advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders on best practices, tactics, and communication tools.

Manage Communication Calendar: Oversee the annual communication calendar, ensuring that communications are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French, with a knack for simplifying complex ideas and telling clear, engaging stories.

A proven ability to navigate and adapt to change in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

4-6 years of experience in organizational communication, ideally within corporate communications or HR. Experience with change management or social media communications are a plus.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – you’ll work with diverse teams across various business functions and geographic locations.

A passion for making communication simple, human, and impactful and a talent for telling stories that matter.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and execute with excellence.

A natural curiosity and drive to get to the core of stories that matter and align them with organizational goals.

Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms. Experience with Google Suite or in graphic design are a plus.

A degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, HR or a related field.
