The Role

GeoComply is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Communications Consultant who will be responsible for both developing and executing a comprehensive plan to position GeoComply accurately within the global anti-fraud and cybersecurity space. The ideal consultant will have a proven track record of successfully shifting market perceptions and elevating the strategic importance of technology solutions within executive leadership, and legacy markets, across multiple jurisdictions, coupled with the ability to translate strategy into tangible operational changes and compelling communications. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact GeoComply's future growth and recognition as a critical partner in fraud prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Framework Development & Execution: Develop a comprehensive, top-down, and multi-pronged strategic communications framework designed to reposition GeoComply as a leading provider of anti-fraud solutions, moving beyond the existing perception as solely a geolocation compliance provider and then lead the execution of this framework across relevant channels.
  • Executive Messaging and Narrative Creation & Delivery: Craft compelling and resonant messaging and narratives that clearly articulate the value proposition of GeoComply's anti-fraud suite to executive-level stakeholders, emphasizing its direct impact on their bottom line and sustained profitability. Develop the necessary communication materials to deliver these messages effectively.
  • Stakeholder Mapping and Engagement Strategy & Implementation: Identify key executive stakeholders within GeoComply's client base and develop tailored communication strategies to engage and influence their perception, and then directly implement these engagement plans.
  • Multi-Channel Communication Planning & Content Creation: Design and recommend a multi-channel communication plan that leverages various touchpoints, potentially including executive briefings, thought leadership content, strategic event participation, and innovative communication methods to reach and resonate with senior leadership, and be responsible for creating the content required for these channels.
  • Internal Alignment & Communication: Collaborate with GeoComply's internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership) to ensure consistent messaging and alignment in the repositioning efforts and develop internal communications to support this alignment.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the communication strategies and provide regular progress updates and recommendations for optimization, including the development of reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Market Analysis & Insight Application: Conduct a thorough analysis of the current market perception of GeoComply and identify opportunities and potential challenges in shifting this perception, and directly apply these insights to refine the communication strategy and execution.
  • Actionable Plan Development & Operationalization: Translate the strategic framework into a detailed and actionable plan with clear timelines, responsibilities, and resource allocation, and drive the operational changes necessary to implement this plan effectively.

Who You Are:

  • Significant experience (10+ years preferred) in strategic communications, corporate positioning, or executive-level communications, ideally within the technology, SaaS, or financial services sectors, with a demonstrable track record of not just developing strategy but also leading its execution.
  • Proven track record of successfully shifting market perceptions and elevating the strategic importance of technology solutions among executive leadership, including the creation of impactful communication materials and the implementation of communication plans.
  • Deep understanding of business strategy, financial drivers, and the concerns of C-suite executives, with the ability to translate this understanding into compelling executive-level communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to craft compelling narratives, develop various forms of communication content (presentations, articles, talking points, etc.), and present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop data-driven communication strategies and translate these strategies into actionable operational plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels, and effectively collaborate with internal teams to drive execution.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from strategic conception to operational implementation.
  • Familiarity with the iGaming or fraud prevention landscape is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
