Become a part of our extraordinary growth story in the Kleinanzeigen PRO Business Area and work with us to extend our presence, user base and value proposition as No. 1 horizontal marketplace in Germany by joining our team as Strategic Business Development Manager (d/f/m)

This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Berlin-Charlottenburg. You will report to the Lead Business Development & Value Proposition.

About Kleinanzeigen PRO

Besides the vast offer of private listings, Kleinanzeigen is the perfect platform for commercial users to market their goods and services. Our paid business product PRO is one of Kleinanzeigen’s biggest success stories and forms our professional offering for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with a local presence.

As part of the Business Development Team, you will work collaboratively across sales, marketing, product development, analytics and other internal and external stakeholders. You will be a member of a dynamic, impactful team that succeeds, fails and learns together to define the future of Kleinanzeigen’s PRO Business Unit.

Your Role

  • Define and implement PRO’s strategy, OKRs and major initiatives in close collaboration with the PRO leadership team and the Kleinanzeigen Management

  • You will be leading projects with high top management attention, steering multiple stakeholders cross-functionally and translating complex matters into clear messages. 

  • From strategy to execution: Be responsible for structuring and leading core commercial projects (e.g. Pricing, User Acquisition), which will be cornerstones for scaling our business. You will collaborate and align with team members to get agreement on priorities & adjust course if new information comes to light.

  • Be at the forefront of continuously developing and extending our professional seller proposition by analyzing market trends, user needs and potential features in order for us to build products which help professionals to be even more successful on Kleinanzeigen

  • Find and quantify new opportunities that lie within Kleinanzeigen. Build new processes in a fastly growing organization. (e.g. onboarding processes, prio processes & OKRs, knowledge management, hiring excellence, feature prioritization…). 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar) in a business-related field or relevant professional experience 

  • Minimum 5 years of strong experience in a similar role while having worked with Senior leadership for at least 2 years 

  • You know how to break down and structure complex business matters and translate them into actionable projects or tasks. 

  • You excel at presenting complex matters precisely in written and oral form to senior leadership and our board of directors. 

  • Your profound project management and lateral leadership skills enable you to steer initiatives across all functions and levels of seniority and to own business planning and tracking processes (e.g. Budget process, OKR process)

  • Experience in transforming creative ideas into practical reality. You can look at existing situations and problems in novel ways and come up with applicable solutions

  • Familiarity with SMB target group and experience in platform business are a plus

  • You are proficient in English – German language skills are a plus.
