We are looking for a Strategic Business Analyst
Key duties:
• Undertake market research & analysis, and assess market trends, specifically for Human and Robotic Space Exploration, Space Infrastructure and Science domains
• Identify new business opportunities and define value propositions
• Develop and document business cases to substantiate new opportunities, identifying perimeter of the initiative/project, business models, alternatives, strengths and weaknesses, benefits and risks, and a preliminary assessment of involved costs, investments, revenues, timescale, organization & governance aspects
• For selected initiatives of interest, develop and document a more detailed business plan, further analyzing service or product idea, roadmap, commercialization approach and associated most suitable organizational structure, customers and competitors stance, industrial response implications, amount and source of initial funding, financial modeling and financial forecasts including ROI and cash flow forecasts
• Contribute to assessment and due diligence for possible investments and M&As
• In close cooperation with Domain Operations and Production Units, contribute to the preparation and justification of evolution roadmap for industrial CAPEX (new facilities, new plants…)
• In support to the Product Line Managers and Product Managers, contribute to business estimates and planning for existing product lines
• In support to bids preparation, (i) assess customer requests for specific business forecasts or justifications and prepare the associated response to be included in the proposal data package, (ii) contribute to the identification of business and financial risks and opportunities to be included in the risk register
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• At least 5 years of experience in market research & analysis, financial modeling, preparation & development of business cases and business plans
• Previous experience in corporate strategy and finance are preference criteria
• Data analysis and visualization
• Business and financial modeling
• Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
• Critical thinking
• Storytelling
• Comfortable with uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity
• Understanding of (space) systems engineering concepts
• Fluent in English language
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
