Financial and Regulatory compliance is one of the fastest growing areas of operations. As a North American leader in telecommunications turnkey solutions, CLA – Atlanta Telecom Division, sees a wide range of unique and emerging regulatory and indirect tax issues. Joining the Regulatory Compliance team at CLA – Atlanta Telecom Division provides the opportunity for individuals to face these issues head on in a collaborative environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate, compile, analyze, and distribute accurate and timely information to prepare and file documents related to telephony regulatory matters and compliance functions.

Assist with preparation and filing of revisions to regulatory documents.

Prepare correspondence and responsive materials to third parties and regulatory authorities.

Test basic tax mapping scenarios within the CLA tax lab and/or client’s tax engines to ensure appropriate and expected tax results.

Support testing and implementing systems and/or process changes to add increased efficiencies or conformance with tax rules

Review jurisdiction laws pertaining to exemptions and validate forms provided by client’s customers to ensure good faith standards are met to indemnify client from tax liability

Contribute to the development of requirements for new and existing client projects.

Understand and work to resolve general customer issues.

Participate in other operational and strategic projects or duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.

General knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulations impacting each engagement or project and reporting of financial data.

Willingness to learn new technologies.

Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.

Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.
-
Less than one year of experience in public accounting.
