Marie Claire is looking for a Staff Writer! You will report to our Senior Editor, Fashion. You’ll write Fashion news content, and occasionally stories for other categories, with an emphasis on expanding our readership and driving commerce.
You’ll deliver clean, prompt copy, pitch new ideas, and incorporate commerce following both our affiliate goals and our brand values. You’ll work with our Fashion, Commerce, and Social teams, and occasionally assisting other areas.
What you'll be doing
- Write and update 4+ news stories daily and contribute other stories (including sales, reviews, and buying guides)
- Work with Commerce, Fashion, and Beauty teams to ensure that shoppable content is on-brand and contributes to affiliate goals
- Support Fashion, Commerce, and Social teams, and occasionally other areas
- Represent Marie Claire at outward-facing events
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- Relevant writing experience in fashion, beauty, or commerce
- Interest in fashion, celebrity, and how the two intersect
- Enthusiasm for working with different teams to meet goals
- Knowledge of the fashion industry and trends
- The ability to meet tight daily and weekly deadlines
