About The RoleWe seek a dynamic and experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead our Outbound Engineering team, driving the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for complex integrations with robotics and machinery. As a critical contributor, you will shape the future of our fulfillment technology stack, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of innovative, reliable solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align technology development with strategic business goals, directly impacting operational efficiency and company growth.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager and will be fully remote.

  • Design and Develop: Lead the architecture and development of software solutions, making strategic decisions that influence our technical direction.

  • Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, anticipating potential issues to ensure smooth project execution.

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of software development experience

  • 2+ years acting as a technical leader

  • Proven experience with the development, scaling, and maintenance of distributed systems

  • Proven experience with warehouse automation or fulfillment operations machinery integration

  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architectural design, and agile development methodologies

  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work independently on complex issues

  • Practical communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.

  • Familiarity with AWS 

  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.

The expected salary range for this role is $172,460.00-$215,575.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
