Responsibilities:

Design, build and maintain software for our industry-leading DNA sequencing and Microarray platforms

Collaborate with global stakeholders, architects and development teams and deliver high quality software products throughout SDLC

Drive engineering standards, tooling, processes and best practices

Maintain awareness of industry trends and evaluate applicability of new software technologies to platform development efforts

Provide technical leadership where needed.

Who we are looking for:

Proven experience in leading resolutions to complex problems

Extensive knowledge and experience with Angular 11/12+, JavaScript, Java, HTML

Deep understanding of SOA, RESTful services, and architectural patterns such as Micro frontend architecture

Experienced in container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, helm charts)

Familiarity with AWS architecture and concepts (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.)

Proficient with CI/CD methods and tooling, Jenkins, Github Actions
-
Working knowledge of Tomcat/Jetty. Experience with Nginx, Apache web server is appreciated

Demonstrated success in leading in a fast-paced team environment and delivering high-quality software products

Possess proven troubleshooting skills

Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly

Proactive and team-oriented with strong collaboration skills; comfortable working across functions and time zones

Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships

Have proven verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience/Education:

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or 3 years’ with a PH.D.; or equivalent experience

Experience in the field of Life Science and/or Bioinformatics is a plus
