Staff Software Engineer (Front-End)- Octopus by RTG

As a Staff Software Engineer - Front-End, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work closely with our customer base, translating their needs into technological SaaS solutions. Supported by strong engineering teams, you’ll be equipped with the tools and resources needed to achieve extraordinary results that go beyond traditional engineering roles

Key Responsibilities :

• Help establish standards for development teams and collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and other software engineering teams.
• Assist teammates by conducting code reviews and pairing sessions.
• Work with the following tech stack:
• Primary Technologies: Ruby, Rails, Node.js, React, Postgres
• Hosting: AWS with increasing use of Kubernetes
• Languages: Java, Typescript
• CI/CD Tools: CircleCI for Continuous Integration, ArgoCD, and in-house tools for Continuous Delivery.

Qualifications of the Role:

• Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills:
• Professional experience with React, Typescript or Javascript, CSS, and SaaS styling.
• Knowledge of GIT Version Control, HTTP requests, RESTful APIs, and API integrations.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering fundamentals, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Design principles.
• Experience working with software, platforms, and infrastructure at scale (e.g., thousands of hosts, millions of users).
• Experience in building modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems at scale.
• Experience with modern web development, including testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring.
• Ability to work on large initiatives with teams and adapt as needed.
