Duties & Responsibilities:
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated software engineer to join our team of engineers building high-performance test equipment for the radio communications industry. You will be part of a team of developers working on all aspects of our products including user interface, automated testing, and device control.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing applications for embedded Linux devices using C, C++ and Python.
- Testing and debugging applications.
- Working closely with other engineers on these tasks.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following languages: C++, Python.
- Experience writing embedded code for real-time systems.
- Knowledge of data acquisition hardware such as I2C.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
- Ability to read schematics and understand how to program devices.
- Experience deploying applications within an Agile development environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Atlassian Tools, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Git.
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of design patterns and architecture styles.
- Familiarity with distributed computing concepts such as multithreading, message passing, and parallel processing.
