Job Description:
The Role:
We are looking for a talented and driven Applications Engineer to work in our Customer Experience organization. We are interested in motivated candidates with broad experience and excellent communication skills. The Applications Engineer is a critical role which ensures customer success with designing with SiFive IP. The candidate will develop a rich experience of industry needs and SiFive solutions.
Responsibilities
-
Support customers using SiFive IPs and resolve software issues with running simulations, using toolchains, and bringing up firmware/OS
-
Responsible for all levels of support and escalation for customer issues, including on-site customer support
-
Collaborate with the engineering, marketing, and sales teams to demonstrate SiFive products and values to customers, resolve technical issues, and represent customer needs internally

Deliver customer trainings
-
Improve documentation, write application notes and knowledge-based articles
Qualifications
-
This position requires a BSEE or equivalent, plus ten or more years of applicable experience, including two or more years in technical support role

Strong background in computer architectures
-
Knowledgeable on software development with C/C++/assembly language
-
Familiar with GNU tools, debug probes, Linux kernel and at least one RTOS
-
Experience with development environments such as Linux, Git, Jira and Confluence

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to deliver customer training

Self-starter, fast learner, strong problem-solving skills
