Job Description

About Operations Engineering Division (OED): OED is the central team that supports all Business Unit Design and Development teams, and other organizations including Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Foundry Operations, and Test. OED provides a platform for managing all process technology and PDK development for both Internal and External Foundry processes. This strong and highly qualified team (mostly MS/PhD) adds strength in developing Test Technology, Foundry Operations, and Yield management. Our world class contributions lead to aggressive NPI strategies and continual cost and gross margin improvements. PMO (Program Management Office) Department within OED functions as program/project management team for both Operations Group and OED and is looking for candidates with following responsibilities and minimal qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Key Program Management role within Renesas Operations Group and Operations Engineering Division (OED) to strongly interface between OED Engineering teams, Internal Manufacturing team, Product Groups, external vendors and customers for developing and smooth execution of plans for new process development, process technology transfer and NPI.
  • Leadership of multi-site project teams in the enablement of front-end process technologies.
  • Full project ownership and go-to person for all internal teams regarding your project
  • Develop, maintain and execute the project plan for the enablement of new technologies.
  • Drive project members and other contributors to meet critical milestones and customer commitment.
  • Track and drive actions for external supplies (e.g., foundries, IP providers).
  • Develop, define, and execute plans of record, including, schedules, deliverables, and risks.
  • Monitors and drives the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders across functions on technical matters, as needed.
  • Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.
  • Tracks and manages all key metrics pertaining to a program and identifies when metrics deviate significantly from Plan of Record; escalates issues in a timely manner and proposes corrective actions.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Master’s/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, materials science, or a related technical field
  • Prior experience or training (e.g. PMP, Prince2 etc.) in project management
  • 4+ years working experience in semiconductor operations/Engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; influence without authority
  • Strong communication (written and oral) skills; fluent in Japanese and English (Chinese is a plus)
  • Candidate preferably (partially) in office in Taiwan (Zhubei or Taipei), but other office locations or full remote within APAC can be considered.
