What we are looking for:
As a Staff Project Manager, you will work on utility scale solar SCADA and Controls Integration projects with the Stem team to identify all project risks and develop mitigation strategies. You will prepare budgets, bids, contracts, funding requests, and communication plans. You will also manage, supervise, and schedule execution of projects. You will thrive on schedules, milestones, and delivering solutions on time. You will bring order to a fast-paced growth environment and act as a point of contact for large projects and more in-depth customer needs.
You will be the liaison between Engineering and Technical Sales to document and refine product requirements, milestones, and deliverables and translate this into actionable and achievable project plans. From these plans, you will coordinate internally with Engineering, Development, and Operations to fulfill projects on time and within the project budget.
Responsibilities:

Work with Technical Sales, Engineering, and Software Development to ensure complete and detailed engineering requirements.

Build project plans and manage projects from purchase order to completion.

Prepare and present project status to stakeholders, leadership, and external customers.

Effectively coordinate with the client and internal cross-functional resources while managing expectations, delivery scope, approach, timelines, risks, and resources.

Coordinate internal resources developing accountability and clarity in scope and timeline for each stakeholder.

Prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.

Communicate regularly with Technical Sales and the customer to manage expectations.

Work with field service to efficiently organize field activities.

Develop tools for and report periodically internally and externally on health of projects.

Develop tools to understand and manage resource loading across the organization.

Host periodic project meetings – internal and with customer.

Develop project life-cycle process and checklists for engineering projects.

Track project costs and process change orders with sales and the customer as needed.

Identify gaps and interface with engineering, operations, development, and the customer to drive resolution.

Help to define and refine internal processes.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualification
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering (or a related field) with 8+ years' experience or 12+ years equivalent work experience without a degree.

5+ years of experience in a Project Management role, specifically within the Solar, Renewable Energy, or Power industry, with at least 3 years working on large scale utility projects.

Demonstrated experience successfully managing the deployment of projects supported by functional teams of engineering, manufacturing and logistic in the power industry.

Excellent written, verbal, and customer account management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project issues, impacts, and corrective actions to both internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to understand and communicate both technical and business information.

Able to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent.
Salary Range$94,960.00 - $142,440.00
