You have the change to join MetLife's Group Benefits organization focused on leading customer migrations from MetLife's legacy systems to MetLife's new state of the ART solutions. The Opportunity
The Project Leader is responsible for leading and delivering customer conversions from legacy systems to MetLife's state of the art cloud-based claims system. The project lead will keep the work on track, manage a schedule, report progress, communicate with internal stakeholders, and work with the product owners on improving the conversion tools. This is all in support of MetLife delivering a best in the industry disability and leave management experience for our customers. The position will work in MetLife's Group Benefits organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of customers, technology teams, and state of the art cloud-based solutions.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
• Lead customer migration execution to ensure smooth and efficient transitions2.
• Create project plans with a focus on developing strategies and solutions for Disability Migrations.
• Oversee a team of testers, developers, and operational readiness team members focused on the integration and migration of disability-related data and systems.
• Manage customer migration testing and overall execution, including teams and resources dedicated to Disability Migrations.
• Coordinate with account teams, operations, and product owners, ensuring collaboration and communication across departments for Disability Migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Under general supervision, concurrently manage multiple medium projects to ensure project success.
• Oversees critical initiatives that span the entire scope of operational business areas.
• Manages critical relationships including with operations, vendors, customer facing teams, product owners, internal end users, and business leaders
• Closely manage/coordinate migration projects across teams impacted by the specific initiative or iteration.
• Track / coordinate key milestone dates and dependencies across all impacted areas.
• Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met.
• Creates and manages detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports for end-to-end operational readiness.
• Ensure Alignment with leaders to ensure seamless delivery by coordinate scope, progress and issues/risk.
§ Address business focused concerns which may require engaging architects, engineers and other leads.
• Manages critical relationships; release managers, vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership.
• Leads and motivates team members that are not direct reports
• Identify/ coordinate release management items, ensuring all items have been captured and completed
• Monitor/Coordinate responses from stakeholders.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
• 2 years of experience in the insurance industry
• 7 years of experience with Microsoft Project and other MS Office tools
• 10 years of experience managing multiple projects at 1 time
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
• Demonstrated problem solving and research skills.

• PMP Certification
• SAFE Scrum Lead certification
• Group benefit's customer implementation experience
• Demonstrated balance between process and pragmatic execution.
The salary range for applicants for this position is $66,000-112,000.
