The Opportunity 

Are you interested in taking your career to the next level and joining a global design community working with some of the best talent? Adobe Design is looking for a Staff Designer to join the Document Cloud design team, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving product-led growth for our next-generation mobile offerings.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in crafting the strategy for Scan's mobile experiences, driving PLG and monetization. Collaborate with teams to leverage user insights and data-driven design. Design compelling user-centered experiences that attract and retain users while improving our product's value proposition. Your contributions will be essential in finding opportunities to monetize, improve user experiences, and ultimately drive balanced growth for the Scan product line.

What you'll Do 

  • Collaboration and Cross-Functionality: Collaborate with product managers, product marketing, engineers, and other designers to define design requirements and deliver exceptional user experiences that drive growth in engagement, retention and monetization.

  • Facilitation and Alignment: Coordinate and facilitate design-led workshops and alignment meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure design strategies align with business objectives and monetization goals.

  • Creative Exploration and High-Fidelity Design: Explore design ideas through sketches, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes. Deliver high-fidelity designs that effectively illustrate user flows and interactions, with a focus on improving user engagement and retention to support monetization strategies.

  • User Research and Continuous Improvement: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and feedback for continuous improvement, ensuring that design solutions are aligned with user needs and business objectives.

  • Problem-Solving and Action Orientation: Simplify complex problems, develop plans, and implement solutions in ambiguous circumstances, considering their contribution to monetization.

  • Communication and Influence: Combine strong communication with a user-centered perspective to influence and persuade partners, emphasizing the value of design in achieving growth.

  • Data-driven Decision Making: Analyze user data and feedback to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for growth.

What you need to succeed 

Must Have:

  • Related degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience in product design with a proven track record of success. 

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.

  • Proficient understanding of user-centered design principles and standard methodologies for mobile design.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts and decisions to partners and senior leaders.

  • Detail-oriented approach with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of working independently.

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment while effectively leading multiple projects at once.

  • Experience working iteratively with engineering teams to bring the design vision to life.

  • Excellent design craftsmanship combined with strong business intuition.

Nice to Have:

  • Proven experience as a mobile designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in mobile design.

We’re a distributed team of designers, researchers, prototypers, content strategists, program managers, and more who work across Adobe’s three product lines: Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud. 

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $135,900 -- $252,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
