Location:

This role can be based in any of our six office locations within the US; the hybrid schedule globally is two days worked remotely (Monday and Friday) and three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). 

This role can be remote in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MI, MT, NE, NJ, NY, NC, OK, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA.  We prefer this role to be in Eastern timezone.

In this role, you will:  

• Implement low latency high-performance solutions, mostly using Rust but willing to work in whatever language is required

• Quickly get familiarized with Rust (if required) to in turn help mentor and support other engineers who might struggle with systems-language-level concepts

• Have a large say in the design and implementation of relatively new services, and brainstorm how to bring better solutions to more teams/projects across Magnite

• Build proofs-of-concept to demonstrate potential performance or design improvements, and adapt them to enterprise-grade solutions

We’re looking for someone with: 

• 6+ years of experience

• Very strong systems-language-level expertise, preferably: Rust but C++, C, or Go experience is all valuable

• A strong understanding of RAII, object lifetimes, memory management, and other low-level concepts, even when using high-level abstractions over those concepts

• Strong foundations with data structures and algorithms, able to identify better ways to solve problems

• The ability to be a self-starter and motivated, who prefers quick proofs-of-concept and experiments 

• Strong coding practices - the gap bringing code from a PoC into an enterprise solution shouldn't be so wide for someone with this experience

The base salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $175,000 - $205,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time.
