Our Staff Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working across the organization to provide a frictionless experience to our customers, maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between but with a specific focus on developing and enhancing UI/UX experiences for database platforms.
Position Responsibilities
As a Staff Engineer, you will:

Lead and mentor engineering teams, with a focus on front-end development, leveraging technologies like Flutter, React etc., with a solid understanding of full-stack engineering.

Own the complete solution across its entire life cycle, ensuring high-quality, performant, and user-friendly interfaces.

Accountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions adhering to design and coding standards.

Lead in design sessions and code reviews to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization

Develop responsive and adaptive user interfaces using Flutter, React, and modern front-end technologies, integrating them seamlessly with back-end systems

Utilize programming languages like Python, Golang or other object-oriented languages

Be familiar with relational and NoSQL databases including one or more of PostgreSQL, SQLServer, Oracle or CassandraHave deep understanding of container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes

Mentor more junior team members professionally to help them realize their full potential

Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
Qualifications

Fluency in front-end technologies like Flutter and React, with a strong foundation in UI/UX design principles and specialization with at least two modern languages such as Java, GoLang, C++, Python or C# including object-oriented design

Experience building and integrating with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and micro-services.

Experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling)

Experience with UI performance profiling and optimization along with Ability to work with native DOM APIs, handle browser compatibility.

Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code

Strong problem-solving ability to excel in fast-paced environment.
Experience

8+ years of professional experience in software development, specializing in front end technologies, expertise in programming languages and database infrastructure, installation, configuration and maintenance of the hardware, software, and network systems

5+ years of experience with architecture and design, with a focus on UI/UX
-
5+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
-
4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
Annual Salary
$115,000.00 - $230,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
