About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Content Designer to help people complete one of the most important transactions of their lives — selling their home. As a member of the Product Growth team, you’ll work on the fastest growing areas of the business and see how language and design can have a clear and measurable impact. If you’ve got a heart for helping homeowners, a desire to dig and be curious, and a spirit for testing and learning through iteration and research, then you could be just right for this role. The ideal candidate has experience working with data to inform design and content decisions, and can iterate quickly on 0 → 1 features.

What You'll Need

  • 6+ years experience solving complex problems by working iteratively with product teams to deliver clear content design solutions
  • A comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces and can break down problems with a cross-functional team
  • An understanding of how to collaborate with people in a variety of different roles
  • Measured the impact of their work and are comfortable testing, iterating, and synthesizing results to teammates
  • An excitement to work to work across many different surface areas while also keeping standards consistent and up-to-date

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, product designers, operations, and legal team members, and other cross-functional teams to make the complex home selling choices clear, simple, and straightforward for our customers
  • Create content design solutions and systems for Growth teams by writing, editing, testing, iterating, and measuring the impact of language in Opendoor product experiences
  • Use empathy, logic, and data to inform language and design and to regularly present ideas and work to teammates — conduct audits, build in-product education frameworks, name features and govern terminology, inform standards, voice, tone, and style
  • Learn and become an expert in our design systems, patterns, and content design tools and standards
