Who we seek:
We seek a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, month-end close processes, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany transactions, and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of the company's accounting activities, among other tasks.. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
You’ll possess excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and forecasts.
What you’ll do:Work closely with the Senior Manager of General Accounting to complete the daily and monthly activities, including but not limited to:
- Review and manage accounts payable
- Prepare and post inter-company journal entries
- Weekly cash report - consolidate cash in and out for all entities and prepare a summary report for the parent company
- Prepare and update schedules for month-end close activities (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, amortization, depreciation, etc)
- Participate in year-end close processes
- Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to the company's executives and senior management
- Take part in forecasting and financial standards-setting processes
- Support and oversee internal and external tax audits and tax returns
- Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
- Ensure the accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
What you’ll bring:
- 1-3 years experience in general accounting, preferably in SAAS companies
- Extensive experience with Accounts Payable & typical accounting procedures
- Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Good practical experience with accounting systems, Netsuite preferred
- Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends
- Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant area
- Certifications such as CMA or CPA are advantages
