We are seeking a Staff Accountant who will perform essential accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger analysis and maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong Excel skills and possess financial/accounting experience with a major Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc.). Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; review entries for accuracy and completeness.

Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing, including preparing and entering payroll journal entries.

Oversee monthly vendor A/P and employee reimbursement processes.

Manage monthly AR invoices, collections, and related reporting.

Support the preparation of financial statements, corporate reporting, and internal management reports.

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and post a variety of financial data in various ledgers.

Work on month-end, interim, and year-end tasks, assisting the Senior Accountant with audits.

Review accounting transactions for accuracy and verify supporting documentation.

Prepare tax-related forms and filings, as required.

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and maintain compliance with relevant accounting regulations.

Partner with colleagues across different functions to streamline financial processes.

Perform additional administrative tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

2+ years of professional accounting experience is preferred; experience with financial analysis or accounting is a plus.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP); Microsoft Business Central experience is highly desirable.

Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) to analyze and present financial data.

Knowledge of basic financial, statistical, and accounting concepts.

Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

Demonstrates confidentiality and extreme discretion in handling sensitive information.

Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and organize competing priorities effectively.

Communicates clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.

Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaborate effectively with team members.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
