As a Staff Accountant at Building Composites, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions and ensuring accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, experience with journal entries, purchase orders, accounts payable, invoicing, and procurement, and a flexible approach to work. A keen attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial processes. Performing various production tasks.

Your Role:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and reconciliations. 
  • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments and accurate documentation. 
  • Manage invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. 
  • Assist in the procurement process, including purchase order creation and tracking. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities. 
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with audits as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience with financial reporting and compliance. 
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. 
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel. 
  • Strong understanding of journal entries, accounts payable, invoicing, and procurement processes. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
