Summary:
ZipRecruiter is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented staff accountant with solid communication and organizational skills. This position will be integral to the day-to-day accounting function that will play a key role in vendor payment processing and will contribute to maintaining the general ledger accounts, including preparing journal entries and reconciling account balances. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with at least one year of public accounting experience with specific experience in the accounts payable process.
Key Focuses:
- Prepare and maintain the accounts payable process including invoice processing, payments and maintaining vendor relationships
- Process employee reimbursements and corporate card expenses
- Prepare journal entries and assist in maintaining the month-end close checklist
- Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliation schedules by reviewing the general ledger activity and obtaining a full understanding of the account activity to support month-end reported balances
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, including foreign currency denominated accounts
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Ad hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting role highly preferred
- Big 4 public accounting experience highly preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $55,000-$75,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
