Job Description
This role will be responsible for various aspects of the general ledger such as analysis, reporting, budgeting, compilation and special projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform monthly reconciliation and analysis of various balance sheet accounts.
Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of budget and projections.
Conduct financial audits as needed.
Respond to information requests, research and interpret data, and answers inquiries related to finance and accounting.
Perform monthly analytical review and test various income and expense accounts.
Analyze budget to actual variances then research and correct errors detected.
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Perform queries and upload data.
Prepare special reports for use in analyzing financial results.
Assist in the preparation of financial schedules used for monthly internal reporting and quarterly external reporting.
Prepare internal management reports including analytical review reports and key statistics.
Cross train in store reporting, fixed assets, and other various areas ofFinance.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIESRequired:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
General accounting knowledge
Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with limited supervision while managing a workload consisting of multiple tasks and frequent deadlines
Desired:
1-2 years of related accounting experience
