Your day-to-day activities

At eyeo, you will gain or deepen experience and knowledge in many areas of accounting, including customer and vendor transactions, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, financial statement reporting and analysis, and audit and tax support. You will have career growth opportunities to work on various projects, like ERP optimization, financial reporting, business process improvement and internal controls.

• Maintain the general ledger
• Assist with researching and resolving accounts receivable issues including determining collectability concerns
• Process and record payroll on a timely basis
• Ensure timely recording and payment of vendor payables and liabilities
• Prepare accurate month-end and quarter-end financial close activities within the required deadlines
• Preparation of monthly reconciliations
• Group consolidation: assist and improve accurate and timely financial reporting across subsidiaries
• Assist in the preparation and tie out of financial statements
• Assist with audit fieldwork
• Prepare standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation to improve process efficiency and consistency 
• Assist in identifying risks and process gaps and developing and implementing solutions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting practices
• Assist with quarterly VAT filings and ensure compliance with applicable local tax regulations
• Support ad-hoc projects as required, contributing to the success of the accounting team

What you bring to the table

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or foreign degree equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in MS Office 
• Experience with NetSuite a must
• Knowledge of international accounting standards, tax regulations (including VAT) and HGB is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Business fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
• Highly developed attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
