SSIS - Sr Developer3
We are seeking a highly skilled SSIS Migration Expert to perform SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) migration projects. Should have good experience in migrating SSIS packages and data workflows from legacy systems to modern environments. You will be responsible for analyzing existing SSIS packages, designing and implementing migration strategies, and ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Migration Planning: Develop and execute detailed migration plans for transitioning SSIS packages and associated data workflows from legacy systems to updated platforms or newer versions.
Package Analysis: Assess current SSIS packages and their dependencies to identify potential issues, performance bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.
Design and Implementation: Design and build new SSIS packages as needed, ensuring they align with best practices and business requirements. Modify existing packages to ensure compatibility with new systems.
Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of migrated SSIS packages to ensure accuracy, performance, and functionality. Resolve any issues identified during testing phases.
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for migration processes, including technical specifications, troubleshooting guides, and best practices for ongoing maintenance.
Collaboration: Work closely with database administrators, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of migrated SSIS packages with other systems and applications.
Support and Training: Provide post-migration support and training to team members and end-users to facilitate a smooth transition and adoption of new systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience with SSIS package development and migration.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server and related technologies.
Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL.
Experience with version control systems and deployment automation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
