This team creates operational efficiency across the company by centralizing the management of Infrastructure, Technology, and Data. The IT team ensures all stages of the software development lifecycle in a secured environment and scrutinizes the deployment of proper processes along with governance. They champion Rubrik on Rubrik and are the first customers of the Engineering teams at Rubrik.
Rubrik Corp IT is constructed of 100% SaaS and 0% on-premises. The IT team caters to accelerated enhancement of business value and multiple day-to-day business processes through our varied SaaS applications like Salesforce.com, Oracle Netsuite, Workday, Snowflake, Etrade, jitterbit, Allocadia, etc. This team also delivers high-paced business outcomes with 100% system uptime backed by agile, nimble, simple, but cohesive Cloud architectures.
About the role:
Rubrik is seeking a Support Manager for IT apps responsible for overseeing the ongoing maintenance, support, and optimization of critical IT applications to ensure operational stability and availability. This role involves managing a team of technical support staff, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all service level agreements (SLAs) are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Salesforce, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of enterprise applications along with prior experience as a support manager
What you'll Do
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the IT apps support team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, tools, and motivation to provide exceptional support.
- Set clear performance goals and regularly evaluate the team's performance.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the support team, ensuring all incidents, problems, and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs.
- Ensure the continuous availability of IT applications, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues proactively to prevent downtime.
- Manage the prioritization and escalation of critical issues to minimize impact on business operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, application owners, and other IT teams to understand business needs and ensure alignment of support activities with organizational objectives.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on incident resolution, ongoing support activities, and any potential risks to service continuity.
- Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve support processes and tools, driving automation and efficiency wherever possible.
- Implement best practices in IT service management, including incident, problem, and change management, to enhance service delivery.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to support processes, including playbooks, SOPs, Month end and quarter end support process, and runbooks.
- Vendor and Resource Management:
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues involving external applications or services.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including budget planning for support activities, to ensure optimal use of resources while meeting business needs.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure that all support activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to application stability and availability, including the management of technical debt.
Experience you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Enterprise IT applications, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing support teams.
- Strong experience with enterprise IT applications, including CRM, Quote to Cash, integrations and custom applications. Salesforce experience is required. Netsuite or Oracle experience is a strong plus
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members stakeholders.
