Sr Designer, Animation | Adobe Express

The opportunity

Do you want to help build the future of easy-to-use animation tools at Adobe? Adobe Express is an all-in-one creative tool that makes design and content creation fast, fun, and streamlined for everyone, and enables anyone to stand out.

The Express Authoring Design team is looking for a hardworking and expert Sr Designer who will help envision and build tools that democratize the creation of animated content. The Authoring Design team is focused on delivering thoughtfully crafted experiences that shape latest technology into productive and empowering tools, and accelerate users’ success with content creation.

What you will do

• Own and create design impact. Work alongside other designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers, to conceptualise new features and evolve workflows with a keen eye for detail. Ensure successful implementation of solutions that accelerate and enhance motion based content creation.

• Collaborate and strategize. Partner with cross-functional team members to inspire and envision future product features and roadmap that are grounded in user research and data.

• Approach problems holistically. Define patterns and frameworks, to lay the foundations of a design-system for animation.

• Investigate and iterate. Partner closely with the user research team to test your prototypes, capture insights, and integrate your findings into iterations to help improve existing experiences and discover new opportunities.

• Be agile and hold a high bar for quality. Craft experiences that align to the goals, priorities, and timelines of the product. Coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience best practices.

What you need to succeed

Must haves

• A passion for animation design and 5+ years of relevant design experience.

• A degree in a design-related field or comparable work experience with a strong foundation in design.

• Strong system-level thinking, and an understanding of how individual design decisions impact the broader product experience.

• The ability to concisely and confidently present design decisions, the problems they address, and how they support business objectives, to cross-functional leaders and partners.

• A high sense of organization, and experience with design systems.

• Experience with design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, or other similar software.

• Openness and ability to act on design feedback from peers in a rapid iterative design process.

• Strength in creating both lo-fidelity prototypes and hi-fidelity concepts to test with users.

Nice to haves

• Knowledge of Motion Graphics tools like After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Filmora, or similar software.

• Experience working with global teams across different time zones.

• Interest in staying on top of current interaction patterns and experience design trends.

• A desire to go beyond pixels: curiosity and breadth as a creative individual.
