The Pension Solutions Group at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) is looking for an experienced individual to fill a Temporary, Sr. Systems Developer role to support an 18-month project.

What you will do:

Design and implement automated test frameworks using C# and Playwright, integrated within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure builds of the Insight platform align with business requirements, to validate software functionality.

Actively engage in architecture and design discussions, participate in code reviews, and provide mentorship and guidance to the developer community within the team.

Analyze and enhance the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and integration of platform components, while being proficient in troubleshooting and optimizing these systems.

Apply the latest techniques and best practices in test automation, such as data-driven testing, behavior driven development and other design patterns to increase test coverage, efficiency and scalability.

Oversee and contribute to the creation and maintenance of test data, environments, and scenarios required for automated testing workflows.

Refine and enforce current standards, patterns, and best practices for test automation development by evaluating and providing strategic feedback on tools, processes, and methodologies, to elevate the team's technical maturity.

Participate and contribute to the team product roadmap planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, planning and sprint retrospectives.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding developers to improve their automation skills and expand their technical capabilities. Fostering collaboration and inclusion.

Ask powerful questions, create awareness and guidance in the decision-making and exploring potential solutions.

Continuously evaluate and rapidly incorporate new technologies and concepts to keep the team at the forefront of the field.
Who you are:
-
7+ combined years of experience in both frontend and backend development with focus on test automation
-
Preferred experience with Playwright, XUnitMSTest or Selenium
-
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
-
Strong analytical skills and communication skills, with an ability to lead and take end-to-end ownership
-
Excellent knowledge of software development and enterprise design patterns

Understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts

Superior proficiency in C# (.NET Framework and .NET Core), JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, React/Redux

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure, .Net

Understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices

Prior experience PowerShell Scripting would be considered an asset

Prior experience with Spec Flow would be considered an asset for behavior driven development

Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends and building knowledge on the Insight product, the business, and our release processes
