The Sr. Software Engineer will design, development and implement assigned Symitar application development projects. Work on moderate to difficult multiple projects concurrently by using technical knowledge using .NET and structured programming concepts, architecture and process enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain Symitar core banking applications or specialized utility programs such as Episys, Symitar API (SymXchange / SymConnect), and PowerOn/RepGen, as well as knowledge of Java
- Analyze business needs and develop .NET software solutions for public or internal use with the aim of optimizing member experience, system stability and operational efficiency
- Knowledge of application Layer Technologies such as .NET framework, REST, C# , SOAP, XML, WSDL as well as Angular Framework (ver 11+), MVC Framework, Entity Framework, WCF, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET
- Development of full lifecycle applications to include technical design, implementation, testing and maintenance of simple to highly complex applications
- Conduct detailed analysis of system interactions to determine technical solutions and resolves problems that are cost effective and consistent with user needs, system capacities and capabilities
- Identify problems and determines corrective action including development of custom programs when appropriate
- Identify and implement solutions that are related to production level code defects or process changes
- Trains and mentors other team members on operational procedures and processes
Education:
- Bachelors Degree - Computer Science or related - Minimum
Years of Experience:
- 5 Years - Symitar Application Development or related - Minimum
- 1 year - Project Management - Minimum
In Lieu of Education:
- 8 years - Application Development within an Agile Environment
License/Certifications/Training:
- Microsoft Certification - Preferred
