We are hiring for a full-time Supplier Relations Specialist II. This role is the life support that keeps our regional facilities stocked. Supports business processes through the management and maintenance of supplier files and other business applications. Provides general supplier information in a timely and accurate manner, with emphasis on supplier maintenance and analytical processing of changes within the systems to ensure accuracy and profitability of medium to small volume suppliers. Manages Supplier communications and special projects. Collects and analyzes supplier data surrounding acquisitions, new customers, ISC conversions. Supports management on requirements and testing for Process and System upgrades. Collects and maintains risk attributes from Suppliers, including but not limited to business terms and conditions and profitability position. Provides general direction and training to Supplier Relations Coordinators on new processes. Position requires broad knowledge of Supplier Relations and interaction across company departments.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for about 700+ suppliers, which includes responding to any questions that come in via email or voice mail.
- Handle the high-volume email communications that come into the group email box from suppliers, buyers, accounts payable, product administrators and other teams, both internally and externally.
- Utilize computer systems such as Excel, Business Objects, our Supplier Master File, OMNI, and OpenText aka RollStream.
- Run reports and pull data for sales tracing and freight factors.
- Handle supplier onboarding which includes: negotiating terms & conditions for payment terms, freight terms, etc.. Answer questions, escalate requests to appropriate teams for additional process negotiations, update and track agreements, work with our legal team to finalize Short Form Distributor Agreements, complete system set ups, and notifications to all OM teams of the completed set up.
- Perform analysis on data from reports or other sources.
- Maintain the certificates of insurance while working with a 3rd party vendor.
- Add and make changes to supplier contact information such as email addresses or phone numbers, as well as approving or denying requests.
- Act as a liaison and facilitator during divestures, mergers and/or acquisitions. This includes hosting meetings, sharing data, giving questionnaires, and ensuring teams come together.
- Perform any other duties or special projects as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to handle high-volumes of communication in a timely manner
- Ability to prioritize
- Associates degree, required. Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year experience in analytics, supplier relations, or other relevant areas
- Computer savvy with experience in MS Excel and Word, required. Experience with other software systems such as Power BI, Sharepoint sites, OMNI, and/or Opentext, aka RollStream, preferred.
Shift:
- 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday Eastern Standard Time
