Position Overview: 

In pursuit of this goal, we are looking for a strong, capable Senior Specialist, L&D, to join our Teacher Community team. The Senior Specialist, L&D at Elevate is the main LMS (Learning Management System) Administrator for our employee and contractor learning platform and is responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's LMS platform. This role supports the organization's learning and development initiatives by ensuring the LMS operates effectively, remains user-friendly, and aligns with the organization's training objectives. Key Responsibilities: 

LMS Management and Maintenance 

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the LMS platform.
  • Manage system updates, upgrades, and integrations with other software.
  • Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with organizational policies.

Content Management 

  • Upload, organize, and update training materials, courses, and learning paths.
  • Ensure that content is aligned with organizational goals and learning standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to content compatibility or delivery.

User Management 

  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the LMS.
  • Provide support to learners, instructors, and administrators.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new users.

Reporting and Analytics 

  • Generate and analyze reports on training completion, user engagement, and performance metrics.
  • Provide insights to stakeholders to improve training effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for compliance and audit purposes.

Technical Support 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related technical issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors for advanced technical support.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, and documentation.

Training and Development 

  • Train instructors, managers, and users on how to effectively use the LMS.
  • Stay updated on LMS trends, features, and best practices to recommend system enhancements.
  • Support the design and implementation of new learning technologies.

Compliance and Quality Assurance 

  • Ensure the LMS meets accessibility standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the quality and accuracy of content and data.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure uptime and reliability.

Course Authoring 

  • Design and develop learning modules for instructor-led and LMS-delivered courses using Articulate suite or other industry-tools to build SCORM-compliant eLearning courses.
  • Conduct needs analysis sessions with stakeholders to understand goals of course and programs.
  • Deliver interactive, engaging learning materials for learners across the organization, including the executive leadership team.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Experience as an LMS Administrator or in a similar role is highly desirable.  
  • Experience with popular LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, SAP Litmos) is highly desirable. 
  • Strong technical skills, including familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and LMS integrations. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strengths in communicating (orally and in writing) with employees at all levels. 
  • Experience with instructional design or e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia) is required. 
  • All candidates must submit a portfolio of course development examples, including both instructor-led modules and eLearning materials. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and basic data hygiene requirements.
