About the Role

The Sr. Specialist, Experiential Marketing exudes passion and a desire to craft strong brand experiences to life at Verisk. Whether it is leading a Verisk event or conference, considering a new Verisk experience in our offices, or piloting a new experiential technology to drive business value, this individual plays a critical role in championing experiential marketing efforts for Verisk. The position is based in New York (Jersey City, NJ) and reports to the Team Lead, Experiential Marketing.

The individual should have experience in marketing experiences, whether event planning, event execution, project management, data-driven event analytics or executive communications. They will be responsible for building strong relationships with a diverse group of leaders and key stakeholders within Marketing, Sales, Facilities, Human Resources, and business teams. S/he should have strong people skills and attention to detail, be well organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role will deploy best practices in marketing and leadership, and collaborate with a team of highly-engaged, high-performing marketers.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Implement new and/or refresh marketing experiences, partnering and working closely with stakeholders to achieve data driven outcomes (examples include sponsorship strategy, exhibit booth demo strategy, event email campaign strategy, attendee journey, etc.)
  • Provide stakeholders the balance of vision and tactics to help them meet their target audience objectives
  • Plan (with strong project management skills), deliver and analyze experiential marketing efforts
  • Promote and ensure best practices and maintenance of experiential marketing efforts
  • Provide leadership in defining, documenting and communicating key marketing experiential processes, continually working to simplify systems and processes
  • Work with the analytics team to create experiential marketing dashboards and reporting for campaign effectiveness and ROI, pipeline contribution, and overall business performance
  • Deliver an enterprise-wide global events calendar including industry, owned and sponsorship events
  • Articulate the role and goal of digital and in-person experiences
  • Ability to deliver and drive process improvements that improve event efficiency and quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related areas or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years’ experience in a Marketing role or similar position
    • Experience in B2B – experience in software, high-tech, or performance marketing a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and deliver commitments in a timely fashion
  • Strong project management skills: prioritization, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive results, lead cross-functional teams, influence others and foster positive collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of senior business leaders; strong grammar and syntax skills; strong presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical skills
  • Ability to travel (up to 30%), and work overtime and irregular hours as needed to support business needs
