A Day in the LifeAs a Technical Product Development Manager – CareLink Cloud you will have responsibility for coordinating efforts between technology and business to drive innovation by supporting the product lifecycle from concept through launch. You will be representing Carelink team across key programs that includes providing the Carelink integration support on CX360, Carelink support needed on yellowbird programs, supporting EMEA marketing team on Carelink-WeCare integration and driving growth of Carelink premium pilot in EMEA market. You will help create solutions that simplify diabetes care and improve clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead product vision, management and development of the multiple applications and platforms  
  • Work directly with key stakeholders to understand requirements, address business and system issues 
  • Identify and clarify key product requirements, business needs and customer needs, along with regulatory and regional expectations. 
  • Drive multiple development projects end-to-end - Maintain schedules, track key milestones and program interdependencies and preempt risks. 
  • Lead change control reviews and apply critical analysis to make crisp decisions that manage scope, effort, time and risk. 
  • Assesses product issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. 
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring product experience and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. 
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of new initiatives and serves as liaison between business stakeholders and technical, cross-functional R&D teams. 
  • Effectively communicates the product design and details and incorporates technical feasibility  
  • Drive new product introduction, including pre-release field trials and controlled rollout to international customers. 
  • Communicate program status using clear metrics and specific actions plans, applying organizational acumen appropriate for a senior level audience. 
  • Reviews status of projects; manages schedules and prepares status reports. 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelors degree required 

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience 

Nice to Have 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field. 
  • Prior experience with medical devices. 
  • Experience with pumps and sensors technologies 
  • Demonstrated ability to work and lead within a team-based project environment 
  • Experience with developing the product vision and requirements for successful product experience 
  • Experience with maintaining the feature backlog 
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information through presentation and through the preparation of technical documentation and/or manuscripts 
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity 
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies 
  • Experience with managing products involving development of cloud-native technologies and micro-services framework  
  • Experience in a Medical device or regulated industry and exposure to regulatory submissions. Understanding of FDA regulations including (ISO) 13485 
  • PMP certification

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$175,200.00 - $262,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
