Summary Generated by Built In

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineer to work on mobile applications for both iOS and Android. In this role, you will build and optimize mobile solutions for our platform, integrate Azure services, and create innovative, high-performance apps that enhance the user experience for supply chain professionals. You will be part of a dynamic team and collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers.

What you'll do :

  • Mobile Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and other modern technologies.

  • Azure Cloud Integration: Work with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure IoT Hub to build cloud-connected mobile solutions that provide real-time data access, supply chain analytics, and secure data syncing.

  • Cross-Platform Development: Build and maintain cross-platform mobile solutions using Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform where applicable, to reduce development time and maintenance overhead.

  • Supply Chain Features: Work closely with product managers and business analysts to design mobile features that solve real-world supply chain challenges, such as inventory management, order tracking, fleet management, and shipment visibility.

  • Real-Time Data Handling: Implement features to handle real-time data feeds (e.g., shipment status updates, inventory changes) while optimizing for performance and data sync capabilities in both online and offline modes.

  • Collaboration & Code Reviews: Collaborate with a team of engineers to design robust and scalable mobile solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.

  • App Performance Optimization: Optimize mobile applications for performance, including memory usage, battery consumption, startup time, and smooth scrolling. Profile and debug app performance issues.

  • Security & Data Privacy: Ensure that mobile applications follow security best practices and meet the required compliance standards (GDPR, SOC2) for handling sensitive supply chain data. Implement secure authentication using OAuth 2.0, Azure Active Directory, and JWT.

  • Testing & Automation: Implement automated testing for mobile applications, including unit tests, UI tests, and integration tests, to ensure robust and bug-free releases. Use tools like XCTest, Espresso, Detox, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code. Share knowledge with peers and junior developers, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Who you are :

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in mobile software development for iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose).

    • Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining mobile applications for large-scale, data-driven platforms, ideally in an enterprise or supply chain context.

    • Experience with mobile-first or cross-platform development using frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android SDK.

    • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, particularly Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure IoT, Cosmos DB, and Azure Active Directory.

    • Experience integrating mobile applications with cloud-based APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) and real-time data streams.

    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, continuous integration (CI) tools, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., XCTest, Espresso, Detox).

    • Knowledge of best practices for mobile performance optimization, memory management, and battery life in large-scale mobile applications.

    • Experience with version control (Git), and mobile app deployment to the App Store and Google Play.

  • Supply Chain & Logistics Knowledge (Preferred):

    • Familiarity with supply chain operations such as inventory management, logistics optimization, fleet management, order tracking, or warehouse management systems.

    • Experience designing mobile solutions that help businesses improve operational efficiency and reduce costs in supply chain operations.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering solutions that are scalable and maintainable.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment, with cross-functional teams.

    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with IoT or edge computing technologies, particularly in the context of supply chain and logistics.

  • Experience with AI/ML solutions for supply chain optimization or predictive analytics on mobile devices (e.g., using Azure Machine Learning or CoreML).

  • Familiarity with mobile automation and deployment tools such as Fastlane, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
