Job Description:

We’re looking for an Senior Risk & Control Analyst (L6) to join our team at MBPS. In this role, you will be providing support in the effective management of Operational Risks.  This position supports the Risk team in the implementation and execution of an effective risk governance and management program, and with overseeing operational risk mitigation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Business Incident monitoring, independent investigation, remediation plan recommendations, oversight, and reporting of outstanding reportable events, issues and CAPs

  • Support onshore Risk team on KRI Reporting and other Risk reporting.

  • Perform Risk and Control Assessment with the business to identify and assess significant risks and controls in the processes, identify gaps or missing controls, recommend remediation plans and monitor/oversee completion of actions that will enhance the related processes and controls.

  • Act as a Risk Champion and Risk Advocate, to ensure that the message of risk migration and the enhancement of the Global Control framework is delivered to all aspects of the Investment function/organization being supported.

  • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders to help develop a thorough understanding of the business's risk profile and core processes and controls

  • Provide Audit support/consultation to Investment teams, as requested.

  • Perform project management activities associated with the Risk and Control initiatives within the function

  • Handle Ad-hoc requests or inquiries as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Treasury Backoffice.

  • Educational Background and Certifications: A university degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance is required. Certifications such as CPA, CIA, or ASCI are considered a plus.

  • Experience in Risk Management or Audit: A minimum of 2 years of experience in internal or external audit or risk management is required. Familiarity with the Asset and Wealth Management industries or Custodian Banks is advantageous.

  • Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential for conducting risk assessments, identifying gaps, and recommending remediation plans.

  • Communication and Relationship-Building Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ability to develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders to understand the risk profile and promote risk mitigation is crucial.

  • Wealth and Asset Management: Experience with Asset and Wealth Management industries, Custodian Banks, or Operations knowledge is an advantage.

  • Amenable to work on a nightshift schedule.
