About the Project

Through the Private Sector Engagement Modernization Contract (PSEMC), Dexis supports the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) PSE Hub to expand and deepen collaboration with the private sector to achieve greater development outcomes. The PSE Hub’s mission is to create the institutional conditions, operating infrastructure, and capacity necessary to expand engagement with the private sector in the United States and partner countries. The PSE Hub works to transform and modernize how USAID does development by institutionalizing USAID’s PSE policy and delivering capacity- and systems-building support for PSE across all sectors, operating units, and countries where USAID operates.

About the Position

The Supply Chain Integrity and Freedom (SCIF) program, an initiative in the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Bureau for Inclusive Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation's (IPI) Front Office.  SCIF connects private businesses with U.S. and Allied government agencies to advance American and allied prosperity and security in critical supply chains, and advance economic growth in partner countries.

The Relationship and Engagement Management Senior Specialist supports the SCIF team, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with any or all of the following: public, private, non-profit sectors and academic communities. The Relationship and Engagement Management Senior Specialist serves as a technical advisor in developing and maintaining partnerships as well as increasing partnership engagement by ensuring that partners are informed, engaged in the process from the identification stage through partnership outcomes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partner Management

  • Manage complex relationships with customers, clients, and partners.
  • Serve as the primary contact between external partners and the SCIF team.
  • Resolve partner complaints independently and ensure partnership terms are met.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with partners.


Outreach / Strategic Engagement

  • Lead weekly introductory meetings with potential partners and clients.
  • Assess stakeholder needs and make strategic recommendations.
  • Facilitate introductions using network connections.
  • Develop techniques to identify and pursue new relationships.
  • Increase exposure for SCIF partners to investment and resources.
  • Conduct outreach to introduce new audiences to SCIF.
  • Attend industry events and communicate SCIF partnership efforts.
  • Ensure consistent communication on meetings, engagements, and updates.


Technical Advisory / Project Management

  • Organize and manage public events to achieve SCIF and/or partner goals.
  • Provide technical assistance on community engagement initiatives.


Operations / Tracking

  • Maintain a CRM system to monitor partner relationships.
  • Contribute to assessing progress and performance.
  • Collaborate on partner-facing processes and systems.


Communications

  • Support communications activities and strategic messaging.
  • Draft talking points for high-level engagements.
  • Provide copy-editing and create preparation materials for meetings.
  • Shape key messaging for external communications.
  • Maintain a document with key messaging guidance.
  • Prepare readouts to summarize team engagements.


This is an offsite position, working offsite, DC, with an expectation of being available for in person meetings in the Ronald Reagan Building, Washington, DC as requested by the SCIF Director and/or Team Lead.  The position is for one (1) year, subject to funding, with the possibility of extension.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to attain and maintain a Secret-level Security Clearance; strong preference for candidates with active clearances
  • Ability to attend meetings in person at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC as requested or required

Experience

  •  8 - 10 years of demonstrated experience in customer relationship management, account management, marketing, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on building and maintaining high-level client/customer relationships, and identifying opportunities for new relations and growth.  Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) practices.

Education

  • Master’s degree or the equivalent of education and/or experience in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields is preferred, Bachelors degree in  Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields is required. . 

Min. Salary

$120,000$135,000 USD
