The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software applications through rigorous testing, analysis, and the implementation of quality assurance processes. The scope of this job includes partnering with developers, solution managers, and other stakeholders to define testing strategies and execute test plans to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing, and optimize existing test automation scripts to improve coverage and execution efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, create detailed test plans, and identify test cases in alignment with business objectives and technical specifications.
  • Perform testing for new features, complex scenarios, and edge cases; conduct exploratory testing to identify defects not covered by automated test scripts; and ensure that the software meets functional and non-functional requirements across different environments (web, mobile, etc.).
  • Develop and execute performance and load testing plans to evaluate the scalability and responsiveness of the application under various conditions.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA), and partner with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous quality checks.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and efficiency gains, contribute to the evolution of quality processes and best practices, and integrate quality engineering practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring quality is built into the solution from the start.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation and quality assurance.​ 
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 4-6 years relevant work experience
  • Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Appium) 
  • Proficiency in at least one programming languages such as JavaScript and C#

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines 
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure) 
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing 
  • Experience with testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, BDD) 

Job Expectations:

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
