WellSky is hiring a Sr. Quality Engineer in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro! The Sr. Quality Engineer is a key member of the team, contributing to foundational operations that directly impact the business, but also generating creative ideas and collaborating with teammates to improve products and solutions.
A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and back-end systems
- Creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts. Continuously improving existing automation frameworks and tools. Optimizing performance of test execution through innovation
- Performing automated functional, application and regression testing, to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards
- Analyzing requirements and contributing actively to refinement sessions to ensure that requirements meet design specifications and standards
- Participating in end-to-end testing coordination
- Analyzing system logs, identifying, and investigating issues found during testing, assisting Software Engineers/PO’s in triage and impact analysis
- Executing performance tests within Scrum Teams to ensure early detection of issues
- Assisting in troubleshooting and investigation of issues/concerns
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand project requirements and creating effective test strategies to ensure test coverage
- Supporting UAT initiatives by providing data set up, accessing, and troubleshooting issues
- Mentoring and guiding junior test automation engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
Do you have what it takes?
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4-6 years proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with a focus on creating automated test scripts.
- Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Appium)
- Proficiency in at least one programming languages such as JavaScript and C#

Preferred Qualifications:
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation and quality assurance.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of performance and security testing
- Experience with testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, BDD)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
