Job Description:
At Datasite, we’re looking to expand our team with Senior QA Engineers who have Playwright experience. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work on average 2-3 days per week in our Heredia office, with the potential for schedule changes. We believe in fostering collaboration across our teams, blending the benefits of in-person interaction with the flexibility of remote work.
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure the highest quality for our products. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test processes. You'll drive the testing efforts across new and existing products, ensuring alignment with our automation frameworks and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborative Testing: Participate actively in team meetings including Standups, Sprint Planning, Refinement sessions, and Retrospectives to collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and other QA Engineers.

Test Automation & Manual Testing: Design and implement automated and manual test suites for our products, focusing on Playwright (and/or Cypress) for web application testing.

Maintain Test Frameworks: Drive the evolution of our test automation frameworks, ensuring they remain effective as the product and application code evolve. Troubleshoot and resolve issues when application code changes impact test scripts.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to defining and improving QA standards, strategies, and processes, adhering to Agile methodology and industry best practices.

Traceability & Reporting: Maintain bidirectional traceability between requirements and test cases. Own and deliver quality test documentation including Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Reports.

CI/CD & Prod Support: Actively engage in CI/CD activities and assist in the promotion of code to higher environments when needed. Participate in scheduled Prod Support and Pager Duty activities.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, ensuring prioritization of fixes in line with project needs.
Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field.

Experience: 4+ years in Web Application Automation Testing.

Technical Skills: Proficient in at least one testing framework, with strong experience in Playwright (preferred) and/or Cypress.

Bonus: Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber is preferred.
