Job Description & Requirements for Product & Technology Consultant (PTC)

Job Title: Product and Technology Consultant

Duties:

The Product & Technology Consultant will be a member of the Americas Account Tech team and is responsible for the operations of Premier Accounts within their region and/or customer.
This role is responsible for accounts with multiple platforms and requires experienced Product and Functional knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating relationships with the customer’s technical & operational teams, understanding their unique business challenges and needs, ensuring issue resolution, and driving investment alignment between the customer and the Sabre organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical roles with experience in travel management companies, corporate or online business.

The Product & Technology Consultant provides extensive, highly structured consultative support across a broad range of disciplines.

Establishes and employs sales techniques and operational best practices in delivering consultative support, including problem identification, implementation, testing, client training and deployment.

Ensures close coordination of efforts with sales, account teams & peers, including strategic product & technology programs, renewal and conversion processes, acquisitions, global expansion, and RFP responses.

Provides project management guidance and oversight of key engagements to ensure successful outcomes.

Provide an effective escalation path minimizing customer disruption & ensuring timely resolution to customer queries.

Effectively balances their resources across complex multiple projects and locations to ensure customer needs & expectations are met.

Determines the viability of customer-driven requests for computer-related systems, third party tools and connectivity solutions including front, mid and back-office tools. 

Provides status to the field on product updates, enhancements/service changes as well as technical/business presentations to customers.

Works with customer technology personnel to ensure a smooth migration from other GDS systems to Sabre, including any integration of third-party technologies.

Positions may require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel.

A successful candidate will have experience with some or all of the following:

  • Sabre strong functional and technical skills
  • Deep Sabre product & technology domain expertise
  • Project management
  • Product, Technology and Operational experience with Corporate & Leasure Travel Agencies
  • Client management
  • Process optimization & solution design consulting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones & cultures (remote teams & customer contacts).
